Response time monitoring: know when a site gets slow
A site that takes eight seconds to answer is up on paper. Visitors leave anyway, and Google notices.
Slow is the step before down.
A full disk, a plugin running a heavy query on every page, a database that lost its cache: the site does not stop, it slows down. Then one day it times out.
One slow answer means little. Several in a row mean something changed.
Measured on every uptime check.
Threshold
For each site you choose a limit between 50 and 5000 milliseconds.
Checks in a row
You choose after how many slow checks in a row to warn you, from 1 to 10. The default is 3, which filters out a single slow moment.
Warning and recovery
The warning closes at the first check under the threshold. Failed checks do not count: for those there is the down alert.

From where do you measure?
From our main server, on every uptime check. The time includes DNS, connection, TLS and the full answer.
Can I set a different threshold per region?
Not yet. Probes in other regions answer only when the main check fails, so there are too few measurements per region to set a threshold on.
