An alert when the hosting disk is filling up

A full disk doesn't take the site down at once. First sessions, cache, uploads and backups stop working, and errors show up here and there.

A full disk breaks the site one piece at a time.

Logs that grow without rotation, backups left in the site folder, caches nobody clears: the space runs out without warning. The hosting panel shows it, but nobody opens it every day for dozens of sites.

The agent reads free space from the site's server and sends it to the platform, so one check covers every site.

How the thresholds work.

  1. Warning

By default, when the disk is 85% full with less than 10 GB left, or when less than 2 GB is left.

  2. Critical

When the disk is 95% full with less than 2 GB free, or under 512 MB free. Below the critical minimum the alert opens at once.

  3. Closing

When free space is back above the threshold with a small margin, the alert closes on its own.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the plugin?

Yes. Free space can only be read on the server, so the agent has to be installed on the site.

Are the numbers reliable on shared hosting?

We show what the server tells the site's PHP. On some shared hosting the account quota is lower than the physical disk: in that case set stricter thresholds for that site.
